The first time people see a Yellowheart putter, they assume it's dyed. It isn't — Yellowheart is one of the very few woods on earth that grows vividly, uniformly yellow. In a game played on green, nothing stands out at address quite like it.

Where Yellowheart Comes From

Yellowheart (Euxylophora paraensis) comes from Brazil — it's sometimes sold as Pau Amarello, Portuguese for "yellow wood." Unlike streaky exotics, Yellowheart's calling card is uniformity: a clean, saturated lemon-to-golden yellow with fine, even grain, board after board. It's a dense hardwood, comfortably harder than Oak, with excellent finishing properties.

What Yellowheart Brings to a Putter

Unmistakable color. Our Sunstroke Regal runs Yellowheart across the entire head — and on the practice green it's visible from three fairways over. For golfers who want their putter to be unmistakably theirs, nothing else does this.

Clean, even grain. The uniformity that makes it bold also makes it precise — no wild figure to work around, so inlays and alignment features read crisply against it. Pair it with a dark Wenge inlay and the contrast is as clean as printed graphics, except it's all wood.

A solid, balanced strike. As a face wood it delivers a firm, definite feel with the organic sound that keeps golfers coming back to wood faces.

How I Work With It

Yellowheart is a pleasure on the bench — dense but cooperative, machining cleanly and sanding to a silky surface. Its one quirk is honest to mention: the end grain can darken naturally over time at the back of a build. When that happens beyond our visual bar, those putters become our discounted "seconds" — identical in play, priced kindly.

On faces, the strike zone gets our laser-engraved texture at a consistent, chosen depth — it grips the ball at impact so the roll starts sooner with less skid, and the dark engraving against bright yellow is the highest-contrast face in our lineup. You'll find Yellowheart leading the Sunstroke and MorningLite along with zero-torque and one-of-a-kind builds.

Yellowheart FAQ

Is Yellowheart naturally yellow?

Completely — no dye or stain. It's among the few woods on earth with a saturated, uniform yellow heartwood, straight from the tree in Brazil.

Does Yellowheart change color?

It deepens slightly toward a warm amber-gold with sun exposure. End grain can darken more noticeably over years — a natural trait we're upfront about.

Is it durable enough to game?

Yes — it's harder than Oak, and every putter is sealed in a weather-grade finish built for real rounds in real conditions.
