The good news: you can get 90% of a proper putter fitting done at home with a mirror, a yardstick, and ten minutes. Here's the walkthrough I give customers.

Set up over a ball the way you naturally putt — comfortable posture, eyes over or just inside the ball. Have someone measure from the ground to the top of your hands. That's your functional length. Most golfers play putters too long for them, which pushes hands high, moves eyes inside the line, and opens the face.
Quick checks: if you grip down an inch or more on your current putter, it's too long. If you're stooped with hanging arms, too short. Standard is 33–35 inches; we build to any length you note at checkout.
Step 2: Match Head Weight to Your Greens and Tempo
Head weight changes tempo. Heavier heads (365 g and up) swing themselves — they smooth out fast, handsy strokes and shine on slower greens. Lighter heads (330–350 g) give touch players more feel and finesse on fast greens. If your misses are jabby and short, try heavier. If you blow putts past on quick surfaces, lighter may suit you. Our builds run from 330-gram blades to 400-gram-plus heavyweights, so this is a real choice, not a default.
Step 3: Match Head Style to Your Stroke
Roll a few putts and watch your putter's path. Strong arc with the face rotating open and closed? Blades and smaller mid-mallets suit rotation. Mostly straight back and through? Mallets and face-balanced designs fit naturally. And if you fight face rotation — pushes and pulls with no pattern — a zero-torque center-shaft design removes the face's tendency to fight your stroke entirely.
Step 4: Check Your Eyes and Alignment
Lay a mirror or yardstick on the floor. At address, your eyes should be over the ball or slightly inside — outside the line breeds pulls. Then note what your eye likes: some golfers aim best with a single sight line, others with a clean uncluttered crown. There's no universal answer — fitting means finding yours.

Whatever you try, roll the same three putts: a 4-footer (face control), a 15-footer (line), and a 35-footer (distance feel). A putter that wins all three for you beats any putter that wins a spec sheet.
