When golfers hear the word wooden putter, one of the first concerns that often comes to mind is weight. There's a common assumption that a wood putter might feel too light or too different from traditional options. At Timber Touch Putterworks, we’ve engineered our putters to weigh just as much as today’s most trusted performance putters, thanks to strategically placed internal weights. These weights are hidden from view, embedded inside the body of the putter, and are carefully positioned to mirror the weight profile golfers expect. While putters in years past averaged around 350 grams, modern preferences have shifted toward heavier models in the 360–375 gram range—right where our putters land, with most of our designs coming in around 375 grams.

Each Timber Touch putter includes specific weight details listed on its product page, so buyers know exactly what they’re getting. But it’s not just about overall weight—it’s how that weight is distributed that matters. We use far outside weighting, placing mass at the outermost edges of the putter head to achieve an exceptionally high MOI (Moment of Inertia). This increases stability on off-center strikes, minimizes twisting at impact, and helps ensure that putts travel consistent distances, even when contact isn’t perfect. In other words, the ball rolls better—and your stroke becomes more forgiving.

By combining CNC precision machining with innovative internal weighting strategies, we’ve created wooden putters that not only look stunning but also compete at the highest levels of performance. Whether you’re putting from six feet or sixty, the optimized balance and advanced MOI design built into every Timber Touch putter means you can expect the feel, consistency, and confidence you’d find in any top-tier putter on the market.
