Better Distance Control on Mishits
How High MOI Design Reduces 3-Putts and Boosts Consistency
Not every putt is perfectly struck. In fact, most amateur golfers—whether they realize it or not—hit putts slightly off-center more often than not (especially long distance putts). With a standard, low-MOI (Moment of Inertia) putter, that small miss can result in a noticeable loss of distance. The result? More putts left short, more misreads on break, and more frustrating three-putts.
At TimberTouch Putterworks, our putters are engineered to solve this common problem. By placing weight at the far outside edges of the putter head—inside the heel and toe—we maximize MOI and reduce twisting on off-center hits. That means when you strike the ball a half inch off the center line, your putt will still travel nearly the same distance and stay more on line.
In real-world testing, our putters reduce the loss of distance on mishits by up to 75% compared to traditional blade-style metal putters. For example, a 20-foot putt struck a half inch off-center with a standard putter might come up 10 to 14 inches short. With our high-MOI design, that same miss typically comes up only 3 to 4 inches short. That difference can be the gap between tapping in for par or sweating over another long putt for bogey.
With TimberTouch, you don’t need a perfect stroke to get a great result. Our design helps eliminate those costly distance gaps on mishits, giving you more predictable results—and fewer 3-putts—round after round.
