Not every putt is perfectly struck. In fact, most amateur golfers—whether they realize it or not—hit putts slightly off-center more often than not (especially long distance putts). With a standard, low-MOI (Moment of Inertia) putter, that small miss can result in a noticeable loss of distance. The result? More putts left short, more misreads on break, and more frustrating three-putts.

For example, a 20-foot putt struck a half inch off-center with a standard putter might come up 10 to 14 inches short.
